Playing Discs
Time information for DVDs is also displayed on your TV screen. If you wish to remove the time display from your TV screen, repeatedly press DISP on the handset until it is not shown.
NOTE:
When watching a DVD, if you enter a command using the front panel or handset you
may see a symbol appear on the screen. The symbol means the command is not allowed, or that you must wait for the current title/chapter to finish before entering the command.
Additional disc information for DVDs and CDs is displayed on the front panel to the left and right of the time information:
DVDs
Left of time display – Current chapter number
Right of time display – Current title number
CDs
Left of time display – Current track number
Right of time display – Total number of tracks
Basic operation
Ensure the Classik Movie System is in DVD mode (see First of all, beginning of this chapter).
NOTE:
Some DVD functions may not be available on certain discs. Refer to information supplied with your DVDs.
To play a disc:
1. Press |

| to open the disc drawer. |
2. Insert a disc with the playback side facing down.
NOTE:
Be careful not to scratch the playback surface of your discs as this can affect their performance. Be particularly careful with DVDs.
3. Press |
| / |
| or nudge the disc drawer to close. |
4.If the disc is a DVD playback begins automatically. If the disc is a CD, press / to play the disc.
If the disc is a DVD, a menu may appear on the TV screen (see Using DVD menus, this chapter).
