Adjusting the

Convergence

Manually

Setup

SETUP

Allow the TV to warm up for about 30 minutes before you adjust the convergence.

For best results, stand about 3 to 5 feet back from the picture when adjusting the convergence. Begin with the crosses in the center area of the screen and, once those are adjusted, move to the crosses on the edges of the screen.

You can make separate adjustments in the each of the following viewing modes:

For standard-definition (480i/480p) sources: Wide Zoom, Normal/Full, and Zoom modes (see page 53).

For high-definition (720p/1080i) sources: Full, Wide Zoom, and Zoom modes (see page 54); in Twin View (see page 55).

In each of these viewing modes, the cross pattern looks different, but the adjustment procedure is the same.

To optimize the conditions for convergence adjustment, in the Video Menu, set Mode to Pro or Movie and lower the Picture level settings (see page 62).

You can reset the adjustments by pressing the RESET button on the remote control.
