To adjust the tone of white (COLOR TEMP.):

You can select a preset color temperature (white tone) using the menu. (See Page 23 for menu setting.)

1. Display the PRO PICTURE menu.

2. Select COLOR TEMP. by pressing the { or } button.

3. Select your desired color temperature by pressing the { or } button.

• When you select SPECIAL, the color temperature which concerns the black-to-white balance is applied.

• Generally, select HIGH BRIGHTNESS for viewing TV and select 6500K for viewing HDTV.

• When you select USER1 or USER2, the customized color temperature applies.

To cancel the menu:

To customize (and store) the color temperature to your preference, carry out the following procedure. (See Page 23 for menu setting.)

To store the settings:

1.Display the PRO PICTURE menu.

2.Select COLOR TEMP. by pressing the { or } button.

3.Select a color temperature to be used as the reference by pressing the { or } button.

Generally, select the most preferable color temperature.

4.Press the ENTER button.

The setting items such as R GAIN, G GAIN, B GAIN, R BIAS, G BIAS, and B BIAS are displayed at the lower left of the screen.

5.Press the { or } button to select an item to adjust.

6.Set the selected item by pressing the $ or % button.

The image varies accordingly.

7.Repeat steps 5 and 6.

8.Press the ENTER button.

A screen to store the customized color temperature is displayed.

9.Select USER1 or USER2 by pressing the $ or % button.

10.Press the ENTER button.

• The customized color temperature is stored.

To cancel the menu:

11.Press the MENU button.

To enable the stored color temperature:

1.Select USER1 or USER2 of COLOR TEMP. in the PRO PICTURE menu.

About color temperature

There are different degrees of white color. Color temperature is a way to measure the degree of white color. The lower the color temperature is, the more reddish the white color appears, and the higher the color temperature is, the more bluish the white color appears. With this projector, you can adjust the color temperature by changing the values of gain and bias of R (red), G (green), and B (blue) respectively.
