DVR User’s Manual

The keys of the remote control function as the keys of the front panel of the DVR. The only difference between the remote control and the front panel keys is the “DVR SEL” key. The DVR Selection key is used to switch control between each DVR.

The remote control can be used to control up to 16 DVRs. To setup the remote control, the first thing you need to do is to assign a unique DVR Unit ID to each DVR.

Use the front panel of the DVR, and follow this path to change the DVR Unit ID, <Main Menu> Æ <System Setup> Æ <RS485 Setup> Æ <Unit ID>

Change the DVR Unit ID to any number between 224 and 239, and exit the menu.

After the DVR Unit ID is changed, you will need to setup the “DVR SEL” of the remote control. Press “DVR SEL”, and then press the Remote Control # immediately to select the DVR. For example, assuming that you have set the DVR Unit ID to 225, then you should press “DVR SEL”, and then press “2” immediately. Now, the remote control will only be able to control the specified DVR. Press “DVR SEL”, and then press the Remote control # to switch between DVRs.

If you want to exit the single DVR control mode, press “DVR SEL”, and then press “ESC” to do so.
