Annex 4 : Enabling DHCP/Auto IP on your computer

Windows XP

&On the Windows desktop, click Start and select Control Panel.

éIn the Control Panel window, click Network and Internet Connections.

The Network Connections window will open. Double-click on the LAN-connection for this PC.

On the connection status screen, click Properties.

( Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).

§If Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are selected, your computer is already configured for DHCP/Auto IP. If not, select these options.

Windows 2000

&On the Windows desktop, click Start > Settings > Network and Dial-Up Connections.

éClick the icon that corresponds to the LAN-connection for this PC.

The connection status screen will open. Click Properties.

Double-clickInternet Protocol (TCP/IP).
