–Dirty tape heads, capstans or pressure rollers, refer to section under Maintenance.

–Reconnect the AC power plug and switch on the system again.
–Press
–Adjust the volume.
–Disconnect the headphones.
–Check that the speakers are connected correctly.
–Check if the stripped speaker wire is clamped.
–Check the speaker connections and location.
–Check the speaker connection for proper phasing, colored/black wires to colored/ black terminals.
–Select the source (CD,TUNER, etc.)
before pressing the function button (É,í,ë, etc.).
–Reduce the distance to the system.
–Insert the batteries with their polarities (+/- signs) as indicated.
–Replace the batteries.
–Set the clock.
–Press CLOCK•TIMER to switch on the timer.
–If recording is in progress, stop recording.
–Reset the clock.
–Press and hold Ç (on the system) for five seconds to switch off the demonstration.
–Press DIM until DIM OFF display mode is shown.
