5.10 Use timers and Child lock
This section describes how to switch the TV on or off at a specified time and to use Child lock.
5.10.1Automatically switch the TV to standby (Sleeptimer)
Sleeptimer switches the TV to standby after a defined period of time.
1.Press MENU on the remote control and select TV menu > Features > Sleeptimer.
2.Press Æ to enter the Sleeptimer bar.
3.Press Î or ï to set the sleep time.This can be up to 180 minutes in steps of five minutes. If set to zero minutes, the Sleeptimer is switched off.
4.Press OK to activate the Sleeptimer.

You can always switch off your TV earlier or reset Sleeptimer during the countdown.
5.10.2Automatically switch the TV on (On timer)
On timer switches the TV to a specified channel at a specified time, from standby.
1.Press MENU on the remote control and select TV menu > Features > On timer.
2.Press Æ to enter the On timer menu.
3.Use Î or ï, Í or Æ to select and enter the menu items to set a channel, day of the week, frequency and starting time.
4.Press OK to confirm.
5.Press MENU to exit.
EETip
To switch off On timer, select Off in the On timer menu.
5.10.3Lock TV channels or connected devices (Child lock)
Lock TV channels or connected devices with a four digit code to prevent children from watching unauthorised content.
To set or change the Child lock code
1.Press MENU on the remote control and select TV menu > Features > Set code or Change code.
2.Press Æ to enter the code setup.
3.Enter your code with the number keys. The Features menu reapppears with a message confirming that your code is created or changed.
EETip
If you forget your code, enter ‘8888’ to override any existing codes.
