According to the American Academy of Pediatrics:
All infants should ride
Forward-Facing
Weight 22 pounds (and 1 year) – 80 pounds (10 – 36.3 kg.) Only use
sswho are at least one year of age and
sswho weigh between 22 and 80 lbs. (10 – 36.3 kg.) and
sswho are 53” (134.6 cm.) or less in height
and
ss when the top of the child’s ears are below the top of the child seat shell (Fig. A) and
sswhen the harness straps are located in
the nearest slots at or above the child’s A shoulders.
IMPORTANT: See Harness Height Adjustment on page 32.

Do NOT use the child seat if any of the following apply:
ssthe child is less than one year of age or
ssthe child is less than 22 lbs. (10 kg.) in
weight or
ssthe child exceeds 80 lbs. (36.3 kg.) in weight or
