The control panel display gives you information on camera settings, remaining exposures, and battery level.

Note: The brightness and contrast of the control panel's LCD display vary with temperature and age. After six to seven years of normal use, the display may become difficult to read. In this case, you may wish to have a replacement installed by your local Nikon representative (please note that you will be charged the cost of replacement).
