Registering with my Picturetown

Registering a Camera with my Picturetown

A camera must be registered with the my Picturetown server in any of the following situations:

You registered with my Picturetown before setting up the wireless LAN features of this camera (e.g. this is a second camera).

The camera is reset for any purpose other than transfer of ownership (A 24, 38).

Follow the procedures indicated below to register the camera.

1Be sure that the network requirements for connecting the camera to a wireless LAN (A8) have been met.

2Configure the camera’s network settings (A17, 28).

3Register my Picturetown user information with the camera (A20, 33).

Enter the same e-mail address and nickname (alias) currently used by my Picturetown.

If the current nickname uses characters or symbols that are not available using the camera, enter a new nickname comprised of up to 16 alphanumerical characters. When a different nickname (alias) is registered with the camera, the nickname (alias) currently used by my Picturetown will be used to identify you in e-mail notification of picture upload sent to recipients.

When entering a password for my Picturetown using the Utility, enter the password currently used by my Picturetown.

4Register the camera with the my Picturetown server.

If user information for my Picturetown is configured using the Utility, the specified user information and the camera’s key information are sent to the my Picturetown server, over the Internet, once configuration is complete, finalizing registration.

If sender is configured using the camera, e-mail notification requesting user registration with my Picturetown is sent to the specified e-mail address after picture upload using Picture Mail or Picture Bank. Click the URL provided in the e-mail notification, enter the camera’s key information, and register the camera with my Picturetown from the sign-up Web page (A41). Once the camera has been registered with the my Picturetown server, an e-mail message confirming my Picturetown registration will be sent to the registered e-mail address.
