BConnecting via a Wireless LAN
Be sure that you are in a location where connection of the camera to a wireless LAN is possible before attempting to upload pictures.
When connecting the camera to the Internet via a public wireless LAN, access the following URL for the latest list of public wireless LAN hotspots:
http://www.wayport.net/ (for Wayport in the United States)
See “Public Wireless LAN” (Aiv) for more information on countries in which public wireless LANs can be accessed by, and the wireless service providers that support connection of, this camera.
CScreen Displayed During Transfer
The screen shown at right is displayed during picture upload. The antenna icon in the top left corner of the screen indicates signal strength (5 levels). The icon changes to red when out of range. When signal strength is poor, be sure that you are not holding the camera in such a way that the antenna is obstructed, or remove any obstacles between the camera antenna and access point. Signal strength may be improved (A52, 53).
CWireless LAN LED
The wireless LAN LED, located on the side of the camera with the antenna, indicates connection status.
Blinks: The camera is searching for a network.
On: A connection has been established or data is being uploaded.
Off: The camera is not connected to a wireless LAN.
