Placing the Date on Pictures

Use the Date Stamp setting to imprint the date on your pictures.

This setting is ideal when you wish to record when a picture was taken; for example, for a birthday or an insurance claim.

1Make sure the camera clock is set to the correct date (page 6).

2Turn the Mode dial to Still , then press the Menu button.

3Highlight the Date Stamp menu , then press the Select button.

4Highlight the date stamp option you wish to use:

Off—turns Date Stamp off

Highlight one of the date formats to turn Date Stamp on (the example date is October 15, 2001):

yyyy/mm/dd (2001/10/15) mm/dd/yyyy (10/15/2001) dd/mm/yyyy (15/10/2001)

5Press Select.

6Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen.

The current date will now be printed in the bottom right corner of pictures you take while Date Stamp is on.

This setting remains until you change it.
