Powering Your Camcorder

Using Alkaline “AA” Batteries to Power Your Camcorder

The camcorder can be powered by six alkaline dry-cell “AA” batteries. The operation time of the camcorder depends on the type of alkaline batteries used.

Insert the Batteries

1.Make sure the CAM/OFF/VCR switch is in OFF.

2.Lift the OPEN lever and pull up the battery compartment cover.

5.Close the battery compartment cover. Hold the OPEN lever and align the tabs on the cover with the tabs on the compartment.

3.Lift the two partitions in the battery compartment.

4.Insert six alkaline batteries into the compartment matching the polarities (+ and –) on the batteries to the battery compartment as shown below.

Notes: The OPEN lever must be open for the cover to close.

The camcorder may not operate properly in cold temperatures.

The camcorder and battery level indicator may not operate properly when the batteries need to be replaced.

Using a light will shorten the operation time of the batteries.

Remove at least one battery if you will not be using the camcorder for a long period of time to extend the batteries useful life.
