Creating Your Own Title

After you create a title you can store it and record it alone or with one of the preset titles as described on pages 48-49.

1.Place POWER switch in CAMERA. Power indicator will light.

2.Make sure the SCENE SELECT AE dial is not set to AUTO.

6.Repeatedly press DATE/TIME/CHAR + or – until the first character for your title is flashing.

Notes: To leave a blank space, select the blank space in front of “A.”

3.Press MODE until DISPLAY appears beside the F2 button in the display panel. F2 DISP. appears in the viewfinder.

4.Repeatedly press F2 to display SET CHAR (or a title you have previously stored) in the viewfinder.

5.Press SET. The CHARACTER SET MODE menu appears with a flashing cursor.

Press and hold the button to rapidly advance the flashing cursor.

7.Press SET to select the character.

8.Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you have selected up to 18 characters for a title.

9.Repeatedly press SET to store the title and remove the CHARACTER SET MODE menu from the viewfinder.

Notes: Only one title can be stored. To create a new title, store it over the old one. To erase a character or title, select the blank space in front of the “A” for each character you want to erase.

The clock battery must be installed to store a title in memory.
