Pre-Rec0rding

The camcorder will start recording 3 seconds before you press iSTARTISTOP, ensuring you do not miss important shooting opportuni- ties. This is especially useful when it is difficult to predict when to start recording.

Operating modes:

1 Activate the pre-recording function.

[FuNC:] _ [_ pre REC] _ [!'_11on] _ [x]

_) appears.

Repeat, selecting [1'_'Off], to turn off pre-recording.

2 Press sTARi:/sToP .

The scene recorded in the memory will start 3 seconds before [STAi_i_/ST6Pwas pressed.

(_ NOTES

While pre-recording is activated, the camcorder will not emit any notifi- cation sounds.

The camcorder will not record the full 3 seconds prior to pressing

_TART/sTOP if the button was pressed within 3 seconds of having turned on pre-recording or having finished the previous recording.

Any of the following actions will deactivate the pre-recording function.

-Leaving the camcorder without any operation for 5 minutes.

-Pressing [,n.-_ or VIDEOSNAP .

-Changing the position of the mode switch.

-Changing the camcorder's operating mode.

-Setting the camcorder to standby mode.

-Changing any of the setup menu settings or changing the following settings in the FUNC. panel: [Rec. Programs], [White Balance], [AGC Limit], [Digital Effect] or [Image Stabilizer].
