To perform programmed recording:
1Programme tracks (see page 15).
2Press the 
button.
3Press the 
button, which also engages the 
button.
4Press the 
button again to cancel the pause mode.
5Press the

) button to start recording.
To interrupt recording:
Press the 
button.
To resume recording, press the 
button.
To stop recording:
Press the 
button.
The tape will stop.
!Recording from the radio
1Tune in to the desired station (see page 16).
2Load a cassette into the cassette compartment with the side to be recorded on facing you.
Wind past the leader of the tape, on which recording cannot be performed.
3Press the 
button.
4Press the 
button, which also
engages the 
button.
5Press the 
button again to begin recording.
To stop recording:
Press the 
button.
Note:
If you hear a whistling noise whilst recording an AM station, move the AM loop aerial.
!Erasing recorded tapes
1Load the tape to be erased into the cassette compartment with the side to be erased facing toward you.
2Press the FUNCTION button until "TAPE" appears on the dis- play.
When operating with the remote control, press the TAPE button.
3Press the 
button, which also engages the 
button to begin erasing.
