≥The white balance may not be set depending on the condition of the scene or the light source (e.g. in dark places, etc.).
≥It is effective to set the white balance in [Manual] in the following scenes.
–When recording under reddish lighting (halogen light bulb, sodium vapor lamp, etc.)
–When recording under multiple light sources
–When recording a picture of
≥The white balance may not be set to [Manual] in extremely bright or dark places. In this case, set to the other mode.
≥The setting of the white balance is reflected to other recording modes and it is retained even if this unit is turned off. When turning this unit on again in different recording conditions, set the white balance again.
Recording in Dark Places (Night Mode)
1Press the [MENU] button and then set the item with the Jog Ball. (P18)

Night mode
OFF Cancells the night mode.
≥When you use the flash, you can record people against a night landscape.
≥When you aim this unit from bright places to dark places, it takes time for the screen to be brightened.
≥You cannot use this mode when you record pictures in [MPEG4] mode.
