Ejecting a disc

The KEY PAD is not displayed in the menu screen

1. Press the [Q] button a disc ejects. “EJECT

while you are driving a car.

If a disc (12 cm) is left in the ejected position for 15 seconds, the disc is automatically re- loaded. (Auto reload)

8 cm discs are not auto reloaded. Be sure to remove it when ejected.

Note:

If you force a disc into before auto reloading, this can damage the disc.

Show the menu screen

1.Touch the screen to show the menu screen while the main screen is being shown.

To return to the main screen from the menu screen, touch the [RTN] key.

Sub KEY PAD operation

Enter the title number or some other infor- mation to select directly

1. Touch the [SRCH] key to switch the KEY PAD.

1. Press the [KEY PAD] button.

Each time the button is pressed, the KEY PAD changes as follows.

°In DVD video mode

Cross KEY PAD(Å, Î, w, z) English

Ten KEY PAD(0 - 9)

Sub KEY PAD

(selection keys such as P.TIME)

°In video CD mode

Ten KEY PAD(0 - 9)Show the menu screen

Notes:

The KEY PAD displayed in the DVD video mode always starts from the “Cross KEY PAD” when the mode is engaged.

The KEY PAD displayed in the video CD mode al- ways starts from the “Ten KEY PAD” when the mode is engaged.

Use either the “Cross KEY PAD” or the “Ten KEY PAD” according to the disc contents menu dis- played in DVD video/video CD mode.

Only the sub KEY PAD is displayed while you are driving a car.

2.Touch the [0]-[9] key that corresponds to the title number you desired. When you touch the wrong number ([0]-[9] key), you can cancel the key input by touching the [DEL] key.

DVD video mode: select the title number.

Video CD mode (with the PBC function turned off): select the track number.

CD mode: select the track number.

MP3 mode: select the file (track) number.

3.Touch the [ENT] key.

The specified title number is selected and playback starts.

Function of the other keys

• In DVD video mode

To turn on/off the play time indication, touch the [P.TIME] key.

To switch the playtime, touch the [P.TIME] key for 1 second or longer.

To perform title repeat, touch the [T.RPT] key. To perform chapter repeat, touch the [C.RPT] key. To perform chapter scan, touch the [C.SCN] key. To switch the subtitles, touch the [SUBTTL] key. To switch the language, touch the [AUDIO] key.

To switch the angle function, touch the [ANGLE] key.

In video CD mode:

To turn on/off the play time indication, touch the [P.TIME] key.

To switch the playtime, touch the [P.TIME] key for 1 second or longer.

To perform track repeat, touch the [T.RPT] key.
