Tuning mode (T-MODE)

Radio text is only displayed for stations that trans- mit such information.

Touch the screen in the STANDARD screen to display radio text.

Selecting stations with the KEY PAD

There are two channel selection modes: seek mode and manual mode.

Seek tuning

Only channels that can be received are selected while channels without broadcasts and channels not covered by the contract are automatically skipped.

Owner’s manual

This function displays the KEY PAD on the screen enabling you to tune in through auto store, preset scan or by entering a frequency.

Press the [KEY PAD] button to display the KEY PAD.

Selecting channels

1.Touch the [SRCH] key to switch the KEY PAD.

2.Touch the [0]~[9] key corresponding with the frequency you desired. When you touch the wrong number ([0]~[9] key), you can cancel that to touch the [DEL] key.

3.Touch the [ENT] key. The radio channel you required would be tuned.

To perform a preset scan,

touch the [PS] key.

To perform a category scan, touch the [CS] key.

To cancel the KEY PAD display,

press the [KEY PAD] button, or touch the [OFF] key.

Channel selection

Channels are selected with the following but- tons.

The [a] or [d] button

A [DIRECT] button

For details, see the following operation descriptions.

Notes:

The audio output is muted and other button op- erations are not accepted during channel selec- tion.

1.Press the [a] or [d] button.

The receiver seeks the next available chan- nel below or above the current channel.

2.Press and hold the [a] or [d] button. The receiver moves to seek channels below or above the current channel. If the channel found when either button is released is avail- able, that channel is received. Otherwise, seeking continues until an available channel is found.

Manual tuning

Any channel including channels without broad- casts and channels not covered by the contract can be selected during manual tuning.

1.Press and hold the [BAND] button for 1 sec- ond or longer.

This changes the seek mode to manual mode and the “MANU” indicator on the display lights. When this operation is performed in manual mode, the seek mode is engaged and the “MANU” indicator on the display goes off.

Notes:

The receiver automatically reverts to the seek mode when the [a] or [d] button is not used for 7 seconds in the manual mode.

2.Press the [a] or [d] button. The receiver moves to channels above or below the cur- rent channel one by one.

3.Press and hold the [a] or [d] for 1 second or longer.

The receiver moves to seek channels below or above the current channel and the chan- nel found when either button is released is received.

Recalling a preset station

A total of 18 SIRIUS stations can be stored (6- SR1, 6-SR2 and 6-SR3). This allows you to se- lect your favorite SIRIUS stations and store them in memory for later recall.

Using the [DIRECT] key

1.Press the [LIST] button.

2.Press the [BAND] button or touch the [BAND] key to select the desired band.
