Switching Phase

Use the phase-switching function after connecting your audio-processor, amplifier and subwoofer to the IVA-C801/CVA-1006.

NOTE

After carrying out the steps 1 to 3 of "To display the Setup mode screen" described on page 40, perform the operation show below.

1 Press the SOURCE button.

The main menu appears on the display.

2 Press the 6 (SETUP) button.

The Setup mode screen is displayed.

3 Rotate the rotary encoder and select "Sub Wf." The Function Guide is displayed.

4 Press the 2 (0°) or 3 (180°) button to switch the phase of the subwoofer output.

To turn off this function, press the 1 (OFF) button.

5 When setting has been completed, press the FUNC (RETURN) button.

The display returns to the main menu screen.

NOTE

Immediately after inputting titles or changing the settings of Setup Mode or Display Mode (While the system is inputting the titles or data automatically) do not turn the ignition key (engine key) to OFF.

Otherwise, the title may not be written, or the settings may not be changed.

Setting the External Device Interrupt Mode

If an Alpine Ai-NET Auxiliary Input Adapter (KCA- 801B) is connected to the IVA-C801/CVA-1006, an Auxiliary Source will be allowed to interrupt the current audio source. For example, you can listen to a portable MP3 player through your car audio system even with a CD changer connected and playing. The CD changer will automatically mute when switched to the AUX Input. For further details on how to use the Alpine KCA-801B, see your authorized Alpine dealer.

2 Press the 6 (SETUP) button.

The Setup mode screen appears on the display.

3 Rotate the rotary encoder and select "IN-INT MUTE" from the Initialization mode screen. The Function Guide appears on the display.

4 Press the 1 (OFF) button to turn off the mute mode.

In the mute OFF mode:

The volume level can be adjusted in the interrupt mode.

NOTE

When the mute ON mode is selected, sound will not produce.

5 When your setting has been completed, press the FUNC (RETURN) button.

The display returns to the main menu.

NOTES

Immediately after inputting titles or changing the settings of Setup Mode or Display Mode (While the system is inputting the titles or data automatically) do not turn the ignition key (engine key) to OFF. Otherwise, the title may not be written, or the settings may not be changed.

The Auxiliary device being connected, must have an Interrupt wire with a positive trigger, for this function to operate automatically. Otherwise, a separate switch needs to be added to switch manually.
