or whilst a navigation announcement is being made, you will only be able to hear the traffic announcement after the call or navigation announcement is fin- ished (in so far as the traffic announce- ment is still being broadcast). The traf- fic announcement is not recorded!

If, during a traffic announcement, a tel- ephone call arrives or the navigation system wants to output a spoken in- struction, the traffic announcement will be cancelled and the telephone call/ voice output can be heard.

You can set the volume level at which telephone calls or navigation an- nouncements will first be heard.

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒVOLUMEÓ display item.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒPHONEÓ display item in order to adjust the volume.

Set the volume level that you want using the volume control 2.

Press the joystick OK 8or the MENU button 9 to close the menu.

The settings are saved.

Note:

You can also adjust the volume during the telephone call or navi-

gation announcement using the volume control 2.

Automatic sound

This feature automatically adjusts the volume of the car sound system to suit the speed at which the vehicle is trav- elling.

In order for this to work, your car sound system must be connected as de- scribed in the installation instructions.

The automatic volume boost can be set to six levels (0-5). Ò0Ó means no boost and Ò5Ó means maximum boost.

Press and hold down the AUDIO button : for longer than two sec- onds.

ÒDEQ+ MENUÓ is displayed in the top line of the display.

Press the softkey 5 assigned to the ÒAUTO SNDÓ display item.

Move the joystick 8 up or down to select the setting that you want.

Press the joystick OK 8 or the AUDIO button : to close the menu.

The settings are saved.

Note:

The optimum setting for the speed-dependent volume adjust- ment feature depends on how noise levels develop in your partic- ular vehicle. You will need to test various settings in order to find out which is best suited to your vehi- cle.
