CD MODE

Fast searching (audible)

To fast search backwards or forwards,

press and hold down the joystick 8in one direction (up or right for forwards or down or left for back- wards) until fast searching begins.

Random track play (MIX)

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒMIXÓ display item.

ÒMIX CDÓ appears briefly in the display. The next track to be played will be picked at random.

Cancelling MIX

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒMIXÓ display item again.

ÒMIX OFFÓ appears briefly in the dis- play.

Repeating tracks (REPEAT)

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒREPEATÓ display item.

ÒREPEAT TRACKÓ appears briefly in the display. The track is repeated con- tinuously until you deactivate REPEAT.

Cancelling REPEAT

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒREPEATÓ display item again.

ÒREPEAT OFFÓ appears briefly in the display.

Normal playback is then resumed.

Scanning tracks (SCAN)

You can briefly play (scan) all the tracks on the CD.

Press and hold down the joystick OK 8 for longer than two sec- onds.

The subsequent tracks on the CD are briefly played in ascending order.

Note:

You can set the scanning time. For further details, please read the section entitled ÒSetting the scan- ning timeÓ in the ÒRadio modeÓ chapter.

Cancelling SCAN and continuing listening to a track

To cancel scanning,

press the joystick OK 8.

The currently scanned track will then continue to be played normally.

Displaying CD text

Some CDs include CD text. The CD text might contain the names of the artist, album and tracks.

You can allow the CD text to be dis- played as scrolling text in the bottom line of the display every time you switch to another track.

If the inserted CD does not contain any CD text, ÒNO TEXTÓ will appear briefly in the display if the CD text feature is activated.
