Selecting an equalizer

After calibration has taken place or af- ter you have finished making manual adjustments,

press and hold down the AUDIO button : for longer than two sec- onds.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒUSER EQÓ display item.

Select one of the equalizers

(ÒEQ1Ó, ÒEQ2Ó or ÒEQ3Ó) using the corresponding softkeys 5.

Press the joystick OK 8or the AUDIO button :to close the menu.

The settings are saved.

Selecting sound presets

You can select sound presets for the following music types.

VOCAL

DISCO

ROCK

JAZZ

CLASSIC

The settings for these music styles have already been programmed.

Press and hold down the AUDIO button : for longer than two sec- onds.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒPRESETÓ display item.

Select one of the presets using the corresponding softkeys 5.

Press the joystick OK 8 or the AUDIO button : to close the menu.

The settings are saved.

Notes on adjusting the settings

We recommend you use a CD that you are familiar with for making changes to the settings.

Before adjusting the equalizer, set the sound and volume distribution settings to zero and deactivate X-BASS. For further details, refer to the chapter en- titled ÒSound and volume distributionÓ.

Now refer to the ÒSound impres- sionÓ column in the table entitled ÒHelp adjusting the equalizerÓ.

Adjust the equalizer values as de- scribed in the ÒMeasuresÓ column.
