Changing basic settings in the settings menu

The volume presetting for phone calls appears.

Adjust the desired volume us- ing the volume control 5 or the rocker switch 3 (incre- ments 1 to 50).

During the phone call, you can always change the volume by means of the volume control 5.

Changing the volume presetting of the signal tone (Beep Volume)

If a signal tone sounds, you al- ways hear it at the preset volume.

Press the softkey 9 (next to "Beep Volume").

The volume presetting for the signal tone appears.

Adjust the desired volume using the volume control 5 or the rocker switch 3 (incre- ments 0 to 6).

You hear a signal tone at the se- lected volume.

If you do not want to hear any signal tones, set the volume to zero.

"BEEP OFF" appears on the dis- play.

Changing the presetting of the power-on volume (On Volume)

You can configure the device so that the playback after switch- on always starts with the volume set here. For this purpose, the

"On Volume" menu item must be highlighted.

Press the softkey < (next to "On Volume").

The presetting for the power- on volume appears.

Adjust the desired volume using the volume control 5 or the rocker switch 3 (incre- ments 1 to 50).

If you open the "Volume Set- tings" menu again, the "On Vol- ume" menu item is highlighted.

Restoring the volume at switch- on (Last Volume)

You can configure the device so that the playback after switch-on always starts with the previously selected volume. For this pur- pose, the "Last Volume" menu item must be highlighted.

Press the softkey ; (next to "Last Volume").

"Last Volume active" briefly appears on the display. If you open the "Volume Settings" menu again, the "Last Volume" menu item is highlighted.
