About the demonstration mode (DEMO MODE)...

When shipped from the factory, “DEMO MODE” is set to “DEMO ON” in this unit. The demonstration will start automatically if no sound comes in for 3 minutes. (See page 20.)

To activate the display demonstration manually

While holding DISP, press ¢ until “DEMO” appears on the display.

Various functions and display illumination modes equipped with this unit will be demonstrated repeatedly in sequence. During the display demonstration, “DEMO” flashes on the display.

To turn off the display demonstration, press ¢ again for a few seconds while holding DISP.

• The display demonstration will turn off automatically after about 1 hour.

BEFORE USE

*For safety....

Do not raise the volume level too much, as this will block outside sounds, making driving dangerous.

Stop the car before performing any complicated operations.

*Temperature inside the car....

If you have parked the car for a long time in hot or cold weather, wait until the temperature in the car becomes normal before operating the unit.
