2 To change the setting ...

Move the Joystick up or down to select the item you want to set, then move the Joystick left or right to change the setting.

3 Press the ENTER button. The setting is entered.

NOTES

When PBC is turned on, the setting cannot be changed. Press the MENU button to turn PBC off.

This operation cannot be performed using the DISP button on the main unit.

4 Press the DISP button once more to turn the display off.

3 Press the SOURCE button to select the audio source to be played in the front.

This function cannot be set if no DVD or video CD is loaded.

When the rear DVD function setting is turned on and the remote control sensor selector is set to “REM.REAR”, some remote control operations (POWER ON/OFF, VOLUME UP/DN, MUTE, SOURCE, ANGLE UP/DN, A. PROC, BAND) cannot be performed.

The volume of any add-on displays (rear monitor, etc.) cannot be adjusted from the DVA-7996. Adjust the volume on the display itself. In addition, its sound cannot be muted.

The function for external interruption of the sound of the rear monitor (from the navigation system, for example) cannot be used when the rear DVD function setting is turned on.

When the fader is adjusted while the rear DVD function setting is turned on, that adjustment value is stored in the memory. When the rear DVD function is turned on again, the value stored in the memory is set (only when our company's external processor is disconnected.).

If you are listening to the AM radio (near 1540 kHz or 1640 kHz) while the rear DVD function is set to ON, noises may be heard from the radio, but this is not a malfunction.

Remote control sensor selector

Use this selector to select whether to use the DVA-7996’s remote control sensor or the remote control sensor on the extension unit.

Rear DVD function

When the rear DVD function is set to “ON”, it is possible to play different sources in the front and rear seats of the vehicle. For example, the riders in the front seat can listen to the radio or another audio source while a rider in the rear views a DVD using a separately sold rear monitor and headphones.

1 To view from the rear monitor, load the DVD or video CD into the main unit.

2 Press the REAR button to switch the rear DVD function on and off.

When turned on, the REAR DVD indicator on the audio display lights.

When turned on:

Simultaneous playback/independent operation for the front and rear seats is enabled.

The front audio source operations are performed using the DVA-7996’s front panel switches. The DVD playback operations for the rear monitor are performed with the remote control unit.

1 Press and hold the REAR button for at least 2 seconds to switch the remote control sensor.
