4 : 3 PAN-SCAN

Select this when connected to a conventional 4:3 size monitor. The picture will fill the entire TV screen. However, due to the mismatch in aspect ratio, parts of the movie at the extreme left and right sides will not be visible (when playing a

16 : 9 size movie).

16 : 9 WIDE

Select this when connected to a wide screen TV. This is selected upon shipment from the factory.

1 In the stop mode, press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2 seconds.

The setup menu appears on the monitor screen.

NOTE

This operation cannot be performed in the PRE-STOP mode. When the disc is being played, press the ■ button twice to set the stop mode.

2 Use the Joystick to select “COUNTRY CODE”, then press the ENTER button.

3 Press the ENTER button to reset the country code.

NOTES

∙For some discs, the picture may not be set to the selected screen size. (For details, refer to the explanation on the disc’s jacket.)

∙Press the RTN button to return to the previous screen.

4 Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2 seconds.

The settings are stored and the set up mode is canceled.

Changing the country code setting

Set the country code when setting the rating level (Parental lock).

NOTE

When the settings are changed, the old settings are overwritten. Make a note of the current settings before making changes. The settings are not cleared even when the vehicle’s battery is disconnected.

4 Use keys “0” to “9” to input the 4-digit country code, then press the ENTER button.

∙For the country codes, refer to “List of country codes” (Pages 49, 50).

∙Can be erased one digit at a time each time the DEL. button is pressed. Moreover, press for at least 2 seconds to delete all digits.

∙Press the RTN button to return to the previous screen.

5 Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 2 seconds.

The settings are stored and the set up mode is canceled.

Operations for making the “DVD Default Tips Settings (SETUP)” cannot be

performed using the SETUP button on the main unit.
