Voice tags

Voice tags

Before recording voice tags or using voice dialling, you will need to be aware of some essential facts:

pVoice tags are not language dependent. They are dependent on the speaker’s voice.

pVoice tags are sensitive to background noise. Record them and make calls in a quiet environment.

pWhen recording a voice tag or making a call by saying a voice tag, make sure to speak clearly into the microphone.

pVery short names are not accepted. Use long names and avoid similar names for different numbers.

xYou must say the name exactly as you said it when you recorded it. This may be difficult in, for example, a noisy environment or during an emergency, so you should not rely solely upon voice dialling in all circumstances.

Voice dialling

You can assign voice tags to phone numbers and your car kit phone will automatically try to dial the number when it recognises the tag.

Recording a new voice tag

This option lets you record a new voice tag, assign it to a phone number, and save it in the car kit phone memory. You may save up to 12 voice tags with the related numbers per user profile in your car kit phone. A voice tag can be any spoken word (or words) such as the name of a person.

aTo record a New voice tag, select the Voice menu in the

standby display and press to open it.

aScroll with to the item Voice tags and press to select it.

aScroll with to New voice tag and press to select this option.

aScroll with to the desired name in the contacts and

press to select it.

aScroll with to the desired number for which you wish

to record the voice tag and press to select it.

aPress again and you will be prompted to speak the voice tag you have selected for this entry.

aTo do so, follow the instructions shown on the display.
