Downloaded and own melody

The Own melod. menu allows you to store melodies received via SMS, either downloaded from a web site (see below) or received from a friend.

L To personalise your phone, you can download new ringers by choosing them from your operator's Website. From your personal computer, check on your operator's Internet site the availability, terms and conditions of this service and follow the instructions to download the selected ringer tone via a SMS.

1From the Ringer menu, select Own melod., then press ,to access the list of own melodies. Select one of the own melodies and press ,.

2Select Send and press ,to send it.

L This service is subscription dependent; you can only send melodies that are out of copyright. When sending a melody via SMS (see page 49), the receiver must have a Philips mobile phone to be able to hear it.

3When receiving a melody together with a SMS, select Store to store it as Own melod., and Rename or Delete it if you wish. Press ,to confirm.

Key tones

Allows you to activate/deactivate the key tones. Even if Key Tones are set Off, Key tones DTMF are played during calls (see page 76).

Minute beep

Allows you to activate a beep, which is emitted 15s before the end of each Minute beep minute of communication (the beep cannot be heard by the caller). This allows

you to manage the duration of your calls.

Organiser alerts

Allows you to activate/deactivate an alert beep when an event you Organiser alerts programmed in your organiser is due.

L Unlike the alarm clock, this alert will not ring if you turn your phone off.

Battery low alert

Allows you to activate/deactivate an alert beep which informs you that the Batt. low alert battery is low and requires recharging.

New SMS tone

Allows you to activate/deactivate an alert beep each time you receive a SMS.
