Cause/solution

RThe handset has lost communication with the base unit. Move closer to the base unit and try again.

RUnplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.

RThe handset’s registration may have been cancelled. Re-register the handset (page 33).

RThe supplied telephone line cord has not been connected yet or not connected properly. Check the connections (page 10).

RYou tried to send an SMS message to a phone number saved in the phonebook, caller list, or redial list that is over 20 digits long.

RThe phonebook memory is full. Erase unwanted entries (page 19).

RThe call barred list memory is full. Erase unwanted entries (page 29).

RThe schedule alarm memory is full. Erase unwanted entries (page 33).

RThe maximum number of base units (4) is already registered to the handset. Cancel unused base unit registrations from the handset (page 34).

RHandset memory is full. Erase unwanted wallpaper images, photos, or ringtones (page 25).

RA wrong type of battery such as Alkaline or Manganese was inserted. Use only the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on page 3, 7.
