WAP Browser

WAP Browser

The phone’s WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) Browser enables you to access internet services supported by the network, such as news, weather reports, sport etc.

Server Settings

Before you can access internet services, your SIM must be data enabled and the relevant configuration information, entered into the phone.

These settings may have been pre-programmed for you by the network operator.

Note: Modifying previously entered settings can cause failure of the Browser.

1From Idle mode press B 423 to enter the Server Setting menu

2Two servers may be setup on the phone. Use e to select one or other of the server settings

3Use f until Edit is displayed in the option area and press B

A list of configuration parameters will be displayed. The parameter Name will be highlighted and Edit will be displayed in the option area

4Press B

5Enter the name of the WAP server and press B

6Use e to select each of the other parameters in turn and press B in order to enter the information

7Press B and select the next parameter in the list

8After all parameters have been entered, press Cto return to the previous menu level

9Use f until is displayed in the option area and press B to store the settings

Record your WAP settings in the table at the rear of this booklet for easy reference.

Activating the Browser

The Browser can be activated either by:

From Idle mode pressing and holding the P key

or

From Idle mode press B 41
