tor when being used simultaneously.

Exercise may include some risk, especially for those who have been sedentary. We strongly advise you to consult your doctor prior to beginning a regular exercise pro- gram.

It is best to position the Wristop computer within 3 feet or 1 meter of the transmitter. Ensure no other transmitters are within that range; signals from other transmitter(s) can cause an incorrect readout.

Repeated kinetic shock to the Suunto X3HR may cause an incorrect heart rate read- out, and should be avoided.

2.4.4. The Suunto X3HR and transmitter belt usage in water

Heart rate measurement in water is technically demanding for the following reasons:

Pool water with a high-chlorine content and seawater may be very conductive and the electrodes of the transmitter may get short-circuited; the transmitter unit cannot detect the ECG (electrocardiogram) signals.

Jumping into the water or strenuous muscle movement during swimming may cause water resistance that shifts the transmitter on the body to a location where it cannot pick up the ECG signal.

The ECG signal strength varies depending on the individual’s tissue composition. People have more problems with heart rate measurement in water than elsewhere.
