If the FRx does not turn on when you press the On/Off button, remove the battery and replace it with a new battery if available and press the On/Off button to turn on the defibrillator. If no spare battery is available, remove the installed battery for five seconds, then reinsert it and run a battery insertion self-test.

If the problem continues, do not use the defibrillator. Attend to the patient, providing CPR if needed, until emergency medical personnel arrive.

The pads may not have been removed from the case or may be on the patient’s clothing.

Pads connector is not fully inserted.

recommended action

Install a new battery immediately.

Plug in the pads connector.

Replace the damaged pads.

Replace the pads on patient with new pads to continue with the rescue.

Make sure that the pads are sticking completely to the patient’s skin.

If the pads are not sticking, dry the patient's chest and shave or clip any excessive chest hair.

Reposition the pads.

Make sure pads are not in the case or on patient’s clothing.

Make sure the pads connector is fully inserted.

If the voice instruction continues after you do these things, replace the pads set.
