2.3. NAVIGATING IN THE FUNCTIONS

The function menus are organized under the modes. When you select a mode, its main display appears. In each mode you can display different sets of information on the bottom row. These alternatives are called shortcuts. They all include several shortcut-specific settings.

You can change the shortcuts in each mode with the SET button. When you long press SET in the mode's main display, you enter the function menu of the active shortcut. The name of the setting is displayed in reversed color on the bottom row and the values of the setting are displayed on the top and middle rows. Press SET to enter the value fields. You can change the value in the active (flashing) field by press- ing up or down arrows. Press SET again to enter the next field. To return to the menu, short press SET so many times that the name of the setting is displayed in reversed color again.

To navigate to the other settings of the shortcut, press the up or down arrow when the setting name is displayed in reversed color. To return to the main display of the cur- rent mode, long press SET at any time during the setting process.

The following figure presents the basic idea of the menu structure.
