Operating Other Manufacturers’ Video Equipment

By changing the transmission signals, you can use the remote control supplied for this unit to operate other manufacturers’ equipment.

Refer also to the manuals supplied for the other products.

To operate these components with the remote control, first you need to set the manufacturers’ code each for TV, CATV converter, VCR and DVD player.

When replacing the batteries in the remote control, set the manufacturers’ codes again.

To change the transmission signals for operating a TV

1Set TV/CATV selector to “TV.”

2Press and hold STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

3Press TV SOUND.

4Enter manufacturer’s codes using buttons 1 – 9, and 0.

5Release STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

Now, you can perform the following operations on the TV.

6Try to operate your TV by pressing

STANDBY/ON TV/CATV.

When your TV turns on or off, you have entered the correct codes.

If more than one code is listed for your brand of TV, try

each one until the correct one is entered.

Now, you can perform the following operations on the CATV converter.

Turn on or off the CATV converter.

TV/CATV CH +/– Change the channels.

6Try to operate your CATV converter by
