Cleaning the drain pump

1 Warning! Switch off the washing machine and pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning the drain pump!

0First carry out an emergency emptying (see section "Carrying out an emergency emptying").

0Place a towel on the floor in front of the cover of the drain pump. Surplus water may flow out.

0Unscrew the cover of the drain pump

by twisting it anti-clockwise and pull it out.

0 Remove any foreign bodies which may be in the pump housing.

0Check whether the impeller of the

pump can be turned. (It is normal for the pump to turn in steps.) If the impeller cannot be turned at all please contact your local AEG Service Force Centre.

0Replace the cover (insert the ridges

on the cover into the guiding slots) and screw on tightly in a clockwise direction.

0Close the emergency emptying hose, push it in and twist.

0Close the flap.
