Iron Troubleshooting

PROBLEM		POTENTIAL RE ASON & SOLUTIONS
Iron does not work	• Iron should be plugged into a 120V AC electrical outlet only.
		M ake sure that the plug is securely in the socket.
	•	Therm ostat setting is too low . Turn to higher setting.
Therm ostat ready light	•	This is norm al. The light goes On and Off as the therm ostat is
		switching the heating elem ent O n and Off to m aintain the

Som e odor or sm all	•	This is norm al. Follow instructions for first use and allow iron to

	•	W ater tank m ay be em pty or water level is very low . Add water.
	•	M ake sure that the tem perature control dial and the variable
		steam control are correctly set. For m axim um steam , (setting
		"M ax" on steam control), tem perature control dial should be set
		on '•••'.
	• Always allow the iron to reach the selected tem perature with the

		a few tim es. M ove the variable steam control from '0' to "M ax' a
		few tim es.
	•	Iron m ay not be hot enough. Set therm ostat to the "M ax"
		position.
		Always allow iron sufficient tim e to heat up (therm ostat light
W ater droplets		goes off) before activating the variable steam control.
	•	O veruse of steam burst. Allow m ore tim e between each burst.

	•	Iron m ay have been overfilled. Turn iron off, em pty water and
vents
		follow instructions for filling.
	•	Steam perform ance m ay be low if iron requires seasoning. Use
		regular tap water for 1 or 2 tanks until steam perform ance
		im proves.
