C. Using a Manometer

HOW TO USE A MANOMETER

1.With dryer in non-operating mode, remove plug on the gas valve pressure tap.

2.Attach plastic tubing to pressure tap. Fitting is supplied with manometer (see illustration). 3.Attach manometer to dryer using magnet.

NOTE: Place manometer in a position so that readings can be taken at eye level.

4. Fill manometer with water, as shown in illustration, to the zero level.

5. Start dryer. With burner on, take a reading.

A. Read water level at the inner tube.

Readings should be taken at eye level.

B. Correct readings should be:

NATURAL GAS: 3.5 - 4.0 inches W.C.

L.P. GAS: 11 - 10.5 inches W.C.

6. If water column pressure is incorrect refer to

"TO ADJUST GAS PRESSURE"

7. Reverse procedure for removing manometer.
