•Shielded Twisted-Pair (STP) CAT-5e or CAT-6 cabling is recommended. However, Un-shielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) CAT-5e or CAT-6 cabling is acceptable. Shielded cable is preferred as it provides immunity to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), cell phones, and A/C motors.
