Chassis ground screw

We recommend that you attach the cable to the chassis ground screw with a ring terminal. This procedure will ensure that the wire does not slip off the chassis ground screw. See Figure 2.

To connect the cable to the chassis ground screw:

1.Make sure the inverter’s ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position.

2.Strip 1/2" (13 mm) to 3/4" (19 mm) of insulation from one end of each cable.

3.Attach the ring connector that will join the cable to the chassis ground screw. The connector you use must create a permanent, low- resistance connection.

4.Remove the chassis ground nut and split washer from the chassis ground screw.

5.Place the ring connector over the chassis ground screw and against the flat washer.

6.Replace the split washer and tighten the chassis ground nut.
