PROBLEM: Battery run time is less than expected.

Possible cause

Remedy

The AC load power consumption is higher than rated.

The battery is old or defective.

The battery is not being charged properly.

Use a larger battery to make up for the increased power requirement.

Replace the battery.

Some chargers are not able to fully recharge a battery. Make sure you use a powerful charger.

Power dissipation in DC cables.

Use shorter/heavier DC cables.
