REMOTE SET UP (GUI OPERATION)

Learning

Pioneer remote control commands are in the non-preset gray buttons, but you can use them to learn remote control signals from your component’s remote control.

1.Perform the first three steps of “Calling up and setting up presets”.

2.Select the gray button you want to use for learning and press.

The “STANDBY” indication flashes. (If you remain in STANDBY for about 1 minute, it is canceled.)

(Example: Using the 0 button for learning)

3.Point your component’s remote control at this unit’s remote sensor window and press the selected button.

NOTE:

÷To return the buttons you used for learning to their original settings, press the CLEAR button. This returns them to the original Pioneer remote control commands.

÷There are no signals in buttons Ι , ΙΙ , and ΙΙΙ , so you can use them for learning.

÷Even when “OK” is displayed during learning, operation may still not be possible. If this happens, repeat the learning procedures. With some manufacturers’ components, learning may be difficult to perform. Learning may also not be possible if the remote control’s batteries are run down. If this is the case, load the remote control with new batteries and repeat the learning procedures.

÷Even black preset buttons can be used for learning other commands.

÷Learning a command may not be possible if many commands requiring a large amount of memory have already been learned resulting in insufficient memory remaining.

Press, holding the remote control unit within 50 cm (20 inches) of this unit’s sensor window.

÷If “OK” is displayed, learning has been completed. If you want to use another button for learning, repeat steps 2 and 3.
