Error messages will be cancelled when you press the Stop/Can- cel key.

Er.1

Writing could not be performed.

Er.2

When writing a song to a song of a different

number, you exceeded the maximum number

of events that can be recorded. Delete unneeded

song event data.

Er.3

There is insufficient space in internal memory

or on SmartMedia. You must first delete un

needed samples or files to create vacant space,

and then execute the Write or Save operation. 4

MB or more vacant space is required in order

to save ES-1data on SmartMedia.

Er.4

The file could not be loaded (or played) from

the SmartMedia. Either the file format is wrong,

or the data has been damaged. Files that can be

loaded are ES-1files, WAVE files (8 bit or 16

bit, monaural/stereo), and AIFF files (8 bit or

16 bit, monaural/stereo).

Er.7

An error occurred while loading a file from

SmartMedia or saving to SmartMedia.

Er.8

The SmartMedia does not contain any file that

the ES-1can recognize.

Er.9

Protect is turned “on” for the memory of the

data you are attempting to write. In Global

mode, turn memory protect “oFF” (p.56).

A write protect label is affixed to the Smart

Media. Remove the write protect label from the

SmartMedia.

Full

During song event recording, the event data

memory has filled up. Delete unneeded song

event to free up memory (p.51).
