If your wheelchair is set up in reverse configuration, it will also be equipped with anti-tip wheels. Anti-tip wheels are an integral and important safety feature of your wheelchair. They are factory set to between 0.75- 2 in. (2-5 cm), but may require adjustment to accom- modate depth adjustment and center of gravity.

PROHIBITED! Pride recommends not to remove the anti-tip wheels or modify the wheelchair in any way that is not authorized by Pride.

WARNING! The anti-tip wheels should only be adjusted by a Quantum Rehab Provider or a qualified technician.

To adjust the anti-tip wheels:

1.Push the button on the anti-tip wheel and move the anti-tip wheel up or down to unlock it. See figure 16.

2.Adjust the anti-tip wheel to the desired position while aligning the anti-tip wheel with the adjustment hole.

3.Ensure that the button locks into place. You will hear a click when the anti-tip wheel is locked into place.

4.After installing or adjusting the anti-tip wheels, push and pull on both anti-tip wheels to ensure they are properly engaged.

5.Repeat for the other side.
