To remove the SFR:

 

1.

Move the SFR to the side.

 

NOTE: If your wheelchair is equipped with the ultra

 

hemi option, the SFR must be facing forward and not

 

swung to the side for removal.

 

2.

Pull the SFR up. See figure 19.

 

3.

Repeat for the other side if necessary.

 

Swing-Away Footrest (SFR) Foot Plate Length

 

You can change the SFR foot plate length between 7.5-

 

12.5 in. (19.05-31.75 cm) in 1-in. (2.54-cm) incre-

 

ments when equipped with direct mount foot plates and

 

12.5-14.75 in. (31.75-37.47 cm) in 1-in. (2.54-cm)

 

increments when equipped with extensions. This

length is measured from the SFR foot plate to the top

 

of the SFR. See figure 20 or 21.

 

To change the SFR foot plate length:

 

1.

Remove the screw(s) from the SFR.

 

2.

Adjust the foot plate to the desired length.

 

3.

Reinstall the screw(s) into the SFR.

 

4.

Repeat for the other side.

 

Elevating Leg Rest (ELR) Foot Plate Length

 

You can change the ELR foot plate length between

 

12.5-14.75 in. (31.75-37.47 cm). This length is mea-

 

sured from the ELR foot plate to the top of the ELR.

To change the ELR foot plate length:

1.

Loosen the screws on the back of the ELR.

2.

Adjust the foot plate to the desired length.

 

3.

Tighten the screws on the back of the ELR.

 

4.

Repeat the procedure for the other side.

 

WARNING! The footrests should be at least 2 in. (5 cm) from the ground at all times to ensure ground clearance from obstacles encountered in every day

use. Inadequate ground clearance that

 

can cause the wheelchair to stop
