¡ADVERTENCIA! Compruebe que tanto su scooter como las baterías estén bien sujetas y preparadas para el viaje. Las baterías deben sujetarse en posición vertical y los terminales de batería deben protegerse con sus capuchones correspondientes. No transporte las baterías con otros elementos inflamables o combustibles.

PREVENCIÓN DE MOVIMIENTOS ACCIDENTALES

¡ADVERTENCIA! Si va a permanecer sentado y sin moverse durante algún tiempo, apague el scooter. Evitará así cualquier movimiento originado al tocar accidentalmente la palanca aceleradora. Eliminará también el riesgo de movimientos accidentales debidos a fuentes electromagnéticas (EMI).

SUBIR Y BAJAR DEL SCOOTER

Para subir o bajar del scooter necesitará una buena dosis de equilibrio. Observe las siguientes consignas de seguridad cuando vaya a subirse o bajarse de su scooter:

Saque la llave de la cerradura de contacto.

Asegúrese de que el scooter no esté en modo manual. Consulte el capítulo III, “Su Scooter”. Compruebe que el asiento esté bien sujeto.

Levante los reposabrazos de forma que pueda subir y bajar más fácilmente del scooter.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Recuéstese hacia atrás lo más posible en el asiento para evitar que el scooter vuelque.

¡ADVERTENCIA! No apoye todo su peso sobre los reposabrazos y no utilice éstos para llevar colgados objetos o transportar cosas, ya que se podría desequilibrar el scooter y usted podría caer al suelo.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Evite trasladar todo el peso de su cuerpo a los reposapiés. Esto podría ocasionar el vuelco de el scooter.

POSICIÓN CORRECTA DURANTE EL MANEJO DEL SCOOTER

Evite estirarse para alcanzar objetos o inclinarse mientras maneja el scooter. Al inclinarse adelante puede tocar accidentalmente la palanca aceleradora. Si se inclina lateralmente estando sentado puede desequilibrar y volcar el scooter. Es muy importante mantener un centro de gravedad equilibrado, evitando cualquier vuelco del scooter. Pride le recomienda establecer sus propias limitaciones y practicar estiramientos o inclinaciones en presencia de un asistente cualificado.

¡ADVERTENCIA! No se incline o doble sobre las rodillas para recoger objetos del piso del scooter o a ambos lados del mismo. Tales movimientos podrían alterar el centro de gravedad y la distribución de peso del scooter, que podría volcarse provocándole lesiones físicas.

¡PROHIBIDO! Para evitar cualquier lesión, no toque las ruedas con sus manos mientras conduce. Recuerde que la ropa demasiado floja puede quedar atrapada en las ruedas.

CINTURONES DE SEGURIDAD

Su proveedor autorizado Pride, terapeuta u otro profesional sanitario son los responsables de determinar cuál es el tipo de cinturón que deberá utilizar para conducir con total seguridad su scooter.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Si necesita utilizar un cinturón de seguridad para conducir el scooter, asegúrese de que esté bien apretado.
