RECLINER

 

 

R E C L I N E R

NOTE: To remove and install the bottom two (2) mount- ing screws of the back upholstery the wheelchair must be partially folded. Refer to FOLDING AND UNFOLD- ING THE WHEELCHAIR in the SAFETY/HANDLING section of this manual.

2.Remove the twelve (12) mounting screws that secure the back upholstery to the back canes.

3.Secure new back upholstery to back canes with the existing twelve (12) mounting screws. Se- curely tighten.

4.Reengage spreader bar. Refer to REMOVING/ INSTALLING THE SPREADER BAR in this proce- dure of the manual.

REMOVING/INSTALLING THE SPREADER BAR (FIGURE 4)

WARNING

Make sure detent pin of the spreader bar is completely extended through the hole in the handle BEFORE using the wheelchair.

Removing

1.Push in detent pin on one side of existing spreader bar.

2.While holding existing spreader bar, pull handle until the release pin is out of the handle of the back cane.

3.Drop the spreader bar to one side.

4.Repeat STEPS 1-3on opposite end of spreader bar.

Installing

1.Push in detent pin on the handle of the new/existing spreader bar.

2.Insert new/existing spreader bar into the handle of the back cane.

3.Repeat STEPS 1-2on opposite end of spreader bar.
