Lancing Your Finger

Important: Use the grey cap for finger testing.

Grey cap

Stimulate blood flow by keeping your

 

 

hand warm or by lowering your hand

 

to waist level and by gently massaging

 

your finger.

 

a. We recommend that you set the

 

depth setting on the lancing device

 

to its shallowest depth (1).

 

b. Lightly touch the lancing device

 

(with the grey cap) against the side

 

of your finger tip.

 

c. Press the release button, and then

 

place the lancing device on the table

 

or desk near you.

 

d. Gently squeeze your finger, if needed,

 

until a blood drop the size of a

 

pinhead forms (example: ).
