Electrical Connection 6060 w/Heater
On the 6060 with integral skirt, one junction box has been provided for the pump/motor. The motor is bonded to the junction box at the factory. To access, remove skirt access panel.
A separate 120 VAVAC, 15 AMP dedicated circuit with GFCI protected outlet (commercially available) is required for heater and is to be installed in a junction box. The junction box is to be hard wired.
Follow the bonding instructions below:
XX With a #8 solid copper wire, bond the heater to the house electrical panel or approved local bond. A bonding lug is provided on the heater.
Initial Start-Up
XX Push the GFCI test button. The reset button should pop out.
YY Push this button in to reset. If the interrupter fails to operate in this manner, there is a ground current flowing or a device malfunction, indicating the possibility of electrical shock.
ZZ Turn off power and do not use the bath until the source of the problem has been identified and corrected.
