Adjusting Quick-Release Axle

WARNING

Make sure detent pin and detent balls of the quick-release axles are fully released before operating the wheelchair.

Keep detent balls clean.

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 7.1 and FIGURE 7.2 on page 32.

1.Push in the quick release axle button and pull the quick release axle with rear wheel out of the axle lug in the wheelchair frame (FIGURE 7.1).

2.Push in the quick release axle button again and pull the quick release axle out of the rear wheel (FIGURE 7.1).

3.Release quick release axle button and ensure that the detent balls are fully released (FIGURE 7.2).

4.Increase or decrease play by adjusting the locknut on the end of the quick‐release axle.
